I was there!

...when India won its first Twenty 20 World Cup! Maybe not at the Bull Ring. But watching an India-Pakistan World Cup finals on a big-screen in our Hostel Sky-Bridge with a couple of hundred delirious hostel-mates really is as good as it gets :)

It's been 22 years in the waiting for me, and now that it has come, I am lost for words! Up yours, you Australian bullies!

22 years in the waiting? Boss, if you've waited that long for India to win a Twenty20 tournament, despite the fact that this tournament's existence is six months old, then that explains the hyperbole.

But on a serious note, please tell me this win meant less to you than, say, Adelaide 2003 or Multan 2004?

Yeah yeah, obviously Keshava. But like they say, beggars cannot be choosers. And though I don't quite rate T20 cricket, I thought it was a whole lot of fun. So a little hyperbole on the night of the triumph is allowed :)

PS: I told you and Kapila we would win beat England. Maybe you should stop being so cynical about Indian cricket :P
